We all know the kind of song that makes you want to walk alone in the dark just to think about your life. iiswansongii, under the alias Into The Ether®, has turned that feeling into an entire song with « I Walk Alone (The Hollow Road) ». Grunge with a slightly gothic edge, the track moves between restrained verses and choruses that suddenly explode without warning. The raspy voice carries the lyrics like someone who has decided to face his ghosts rather than run from them, and you can feel it in every line. The music video follows a man wandering through a fog covered autumn forest, encountering objects loaded with memories and symbolic flames, a genuine journey into the mind of someone confronting his past. From Childhood Instruments to a World of Sound
Music has been part of iiswansongii's life since childhood. He started playing the violin at the age of eight before gradually exploring guitar, bass, and other instruments, building a musical foundation that would later allow him to move freely between different sounds and approaches. That versatility is now at the heart of INTO THE ETHER®, an independent project created without the intention of fitting neatly into a single genre or vocal identity. iiswansongii combines traditional songwriting, storytelling, and live performance with newer creative tools, while maintaining control over every stage of the process, from arranging and production to editing.
This creative philosophy can be heard throughout « After Ashes », an EP released on February 26 and composed of seven tracks that unfold like a continuous story, moving from intimate ballads to electric surges, while exploring rock, metal, acoustic, electronic, experimental, and cinematic territory. The name INTO THE ETHER® itself comes from the idea that creativity exists somewhere beyond the visible world, in an invisible space that artists reach into to bring something back. Each song is therefore only a fragment of that larger creative universe, making the project one to keep an eye on.
